NHMP Training
After selection in the National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP), recruits undergo intensive training at the NHMP Training College. The program is rigorous and disciplined, preparing officers for the demands of highway policing while building confidence, professionalism, and leadership. Training includes classroom instruction in laws, road safety, ethics, and report writing, along with practical skills such as traffic management, firearms handling, driving, emergency response, and public dealing. Physical fitness and self-defense are essential parts of the program, and candidates are advised to prepare physically before joining to meet required standards and successfully complete the training.
Academics Curriculum
ACADEMICS
Academic training at NHMP Training College provides recruits with essential knowledge of Laws & Rules, traffic laws, investigations, communication skills & systems, personality development and other official procedures.
DRIVING
It Includes the Patrolling Vehicle Operations Course, which covers defensive driving and safe vehicle handling.
FIREARMS TRAINING
Training includes weapon safety and care, marksmanship, tactical handling and safe use of service pistols, guns and rifles.
Human Relations
Training includes cultural and social awareness, prevention of harassment, media coordination, stress management, disability awareness, and public dealing as per NHMP code of conduct. It also covers tactical communication and handling of sensitive cases i in accordance with laws and SOPs.
Law
Training focuses on lawful search and checking of vehicles, proper handling of evidence, and legal procedures. It also covers offences commonly encountered on roads, including vehicle-related crimes, public safety, road violations, and protection of vulnerable road users, as per NHMP SOPs and Pakistani laws.
Physical Training
Builds strength and endurance through physical conditioning while promoting a positive attitude toward a fitness lifestyle. It also encompasses training in physical arrest techniques, controls, and weaponless defense.
